Important Change in the BHS Science Sequence!!!

Over the summer, the sequence of science courses had been changed to follow: Earth Science - Biology - Chemistry - Physics.   This is a change from the current sequence of Earth Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics.   The change will affect sophomores enrolled in  Fundamentals of Chemistry (Regular Chemistry) for the Fall 2009 school year.  And those in the Accelerated Chemistry will take biology next year.  All those students enrolled in Fundamentals of Chemistry will be placed in Fundamentals of Biology this year.  Those on the honors track to take AP Biology as Juniors will still take chemistry Sophomore year.   The change only affects Sophomores enrolled in Chemistry this year - Freshmen, Juniors and Seniors are unaffected by the change.
Beginning next year, the basic science course for Sophomores at BHS will be Biology.  **There will still be a small number of sophomores in the honors track who will take chemistry in preparation for AP Biology.
